Morrison County GOP Unanimously Censures Rep. Ron Kresha for Betraying Conservative Values
LITTLE FALLS, MN — At its May meeting, the Morrison County Republican Party unanimously passed a resolution to censure Rep. Ron Kresha, citing a series of votes that members say betray fundamental conservative principles.
Local Republicans expressed strong concerns over Rep. Kresha’s legislative record, including his support for:
• Using taxpayer dollars to fund abortions
• Repeated endorsement of DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) initiatives and racially based preferences in state government
• Support for special rights for LGBTQ individuals
• Increased funding for Attorney General Keith Ellison’s office, which party members say persecuted small businesses during COVID lockdowns
• Authoring legislation to prevent the deportation of illegal immigrants, regardless of criminal history
“There are five Republican legislators who represent parts of Morrison County,” said Dr. Noel Collis, Morrison County Republican Chair. “Party members expressed frustration and the belief that Rep. Kresha’s votes are fundamentally different from the other four, and out of touch with the values of Morrison County residents.”
Dr. Collis added, “We will hold a public meeting on Thursday, June 19 at 7:00 PM at Little Falls Care Center. All Republicans are encouraged to attend and voice their opinions.”
