It’s time to take a hard look at Minnesota’s GreenSteps Cities program and other subsidizes. Too often these green grants mask the true cost of renewable energy projects that gouge taxpayers and ratepayers with little pay-off for the environment. Many cities in Minnesota are approached by a modern day snake oil salesmen pitching Greensteps. Telling cities that Green is the new gold. Most city council do little research into the program, yet, are willing to drink the Kool aid. Unelected organizations like League of MN Cities, greensteps, MPAC and CERTs and a host of slick tongues profiteers pitch the Green new deal, These small town elected officials fall for the oldest scam of ” Have I got a deal for you”… the end result, cities years later are wondering what in Gods name did we do. By this time the elected people who fell for the scam are long gone and the rest is history.

NOTE – SOME Green Steps contracts I have seen require that the City follow the KYOTO CLIMATE ACCORDS which in turn publicly admit that it is not about Climate but about EQUITY. If you have not read up on the farce of EQUITY, you need to !!! I guess I should mention that in MN, you get an average of 2 usable Solar hours per day when averaged out over a year. YOU CAN STOP GREEN STEPS AT WHATEVER STEP YOU CHOOSE AND IT IS AS EASY AS REFUSING THEIR GRANTS. Good luck convincing Elected officials to refuse that ” FREE MONEY “
In WI the program is called GREEN TIER and it goes by a variety of other names in other states.
ALSO, REMEMBER THAT ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO, GERMANY REMOVED ALL OF THEIR SOLAR AND WIND PROJECTS AND RETURNED TO COAL AND NATURAL GAS. READ BELOW :
