These issues of Today’s News should be shared with everyone. So many people have no idea. I am so grateful that these are available to us!

Exposing the political tactics that truly harm freedom loving voters is important. It is at the County level, the District level, the State level and the National level. Are the Christians going to make the issue a top priority? We need all Christians to vote, not to decide that it is something to keep quiet about. Pray for wisdom, we all can make a difference. It will take all of us, we must step up. In unity, Tami Barry (LINKS BELOW)

RECENT UPDATE – Truth: Why OTC’s 2024 Caucus Elections Matter! :

Read update from Rep Jeff Backer and Rep Tom Murphy here! (Thanks, Tami, Cathy, for this…) :

Today’s email from MNGOP regarding 2023 OTC Convention results is completely unacceptable. We agree that everyone should follow the same rules and that violations should be taken seriously. Our governing documents are designed to ensure these very things.

It must be noted that OTC’s Bylaws come with troubling history. They were first introduced at the 2023 OTC Convention and narrowly passed. At the time, they included two brief administrative sections. Since passage, OTC leadership has populated the Bylaws with many other Articles and Sections, including rules for participation and an endorsement pledge.

A month before the 2023 BPOU Convention, OTC leadership voted to suspend 33 elected Delegates and Alternates. These individuals received notice of their suspensions less than a week before the convention and should have been given an opportunity to defend themselves. Under the OTC Constitution at the time, OTC leadership would have been given proper notice and a fair trial if found in violation of the rules. The 33 were never given that opportunity. OTC leadership has never answered for this injustice. They have never answered for the fact that the new OTC Bylaws would likely have failed if the 33 had been properly seated.

On two separate occasions, members from the OTC Executive Committee admitted that Delegates and Alternates were added after the 2022 caucus. Some of those un-elected Delegates and Alternates participated at the 2023 BPOU Convention. Can it be any wonder that many people are reluctant to support OTC leadership by signing a pledge to support the OTC Bylaws and the OTC organization as a whole?

Compounding these issues is the fact that the OTC Executive Committee has a constitutional duty to hold an annual BPOU Convention. It is one of the BPOU’s stated objectives. The OTC Executive Committee has a duty to fulfill the objectives of the BPOU. If we are going to hold grassroots members accountable for their duties, OTC leadership must be held accountable too.

It has been almost two months since the OTC caucus took place on February 27, 2024. Since then, party leaders have cited procedural discrepancies and Bylaws violations as primary justifications for canceling the two 2024 conventions. We have noted with concern the lack of formal documentation about the cancellation of conventions. Caucus attendees shared photographs of caucus documentations and affidavits. Based on the information we have reviewed, it is clear that legitimate elections occurred and the majority fully complied with the party’s requirements. In fact, 64% of the Delegates and 69% of the Alternates filled out the OTC forms with no alterations. Since available documentation suggests that the majority of caucus goers fully complied with OTC’s requirements for convention eligibility, why were these Delegates and Alternates denied an opportunity to fulfill their elected duties?

Why was the 2024 BPOU Convention canceled when it could have been properly called within the time frame established by the State Party for BPOU Conventions?

On behalf of the members who have brought these points to our attention, we demand OTC leadership and MNGOP respond with full transparency and release the caucus documents and summaries used to inform their decision. Faithful party members showed up on caucus night and did their part by fully complying with OTC’s guidelines. The caucus attendees deserve the right to know why their voices weren’t heard.
