LEGAL CHALLENGE TO MN JUDICIAL ELECTIONS

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to the press corp list to share a significant and unprecedented development in the ongoing judicial election landscape in Minnesota. In an extraordinary move, the entire Minnesota Supreme Court recused itself from the election challenge petition filed by Michelle MacDonald and her attorney, Eric Anunobi. This petition, Supreme Court file no. A24-1022, challenges the actions of Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon and Attorney General Keith Ellison regarding the qualifications and ballot access for judicial candidates. The "substitute" Minnesota Supreme Court ( Francis Connolly, Leslie Beiers, John Guthman, Timothy McManus, and Laurie Miller) heard the case on Tuesday, August 27 at 10 am at the MN Judicial Center, St. Paul, livestreamed
