2) SOME CONCERNING INFO FROM RECENT MN SCHOOL BOARD MEETINGS:
- Health class curriculum approval discussing sexual health, full of
emotional wellness. Interestingly they have these nasty books in the
library but then they try to teach the students about sexual health in the classroom. Confused much?
- Yoga class for phy ed. This one is interesting as they are teaching yoga in school now which would fit right under the SEL umbrella. I really think
people should take a hard look at this one as "mindfulness" is going to be
the new thing and this is what yoga is all about. This is actually laid out
very well on the new Child Protection League Website. Yoga comes from the
Hindu religion so what happened to separation of church and state? Did you
know this is actually frowned upon in the Catholic religion?
Yoga stretching can be very seductive for young boys especially
9th graders. Parents should be very wary of allowing their daughters to be in a co-ed YOGA class with boys even if it isn't associated with Hinduism.

We are also hearing that many STUDENT SUPPORT SPECIALISTS will be hired at Full Time Equivalent (FTE). What the heck? Can't anybody connect the dots? Last we heard, Sourcewell, or their Partners, specializing in EQUITY, are still in charge of counseling for the schools!!!
